Well, today is a monumental day. I finally brought this chapter of my model building life to a close.
What started on November 15, 2003 is now officially over. I have completed my Captain Cardboard X-Wing. Some would ask why it took so long and to be honest sometimes I am surprised that it is now done, other times I cannot believe that it took as long as it has. My family has definitely has always come first, and modeling somewhere there after.
This model was my "White Whale" as I recently realized. Thanks Matt Munson :P Anyways, I stayed with it and now I am a proud papa of a genuine Scott Alexander T-65 X-Wing. As for the adventure? It isn't over yet. I am now building the Mike Salzo version and am already done with most of the assembly. The second one is taking a fraction of the time to build. Below are some pictures that were taken today with a high quality camera and good lighting. Unfortunately I left the pilot at home by accident so Luke is not in the pictures.
Thanks for hanging with me this last year and a half.
